Radiofrequency Microneedling

What is it?
Radio Frequency Microneedling is often described as a non-surgical face lift (though you can also use it on most other areas of the body such as your neck, chest or stomach). It works by using radio frequency energy to heat up the area, which causes the collagen in the skin to contract and tighten. This results in a more even, smoother skin tone & texture, as well as a glowing complexion with firmer skin.
Who is it for?
This treatment is for anyone who wants to soften the appearance of wrinkles, scars, stretch marks or other signs of ageing. It’s also a fantastic option for anyone who has considered a face-lift, but doesn’t want the associated lengthy & painful recovery or downtime. This is the perfect minimally invasive alternative.
Does it hurt?
You will feel a prickling sensation from the micro needles & a warmness from the radio frequency. We do apply a topical numbing agent to make the treatment more comfortable & we find the treatment to be extremely well tolerated.
Side effects & downtime?
You may experience redness and swelling in the area of treatment immediately after the procedure. This should subside within 48 hours. You may also experience some bruising that will also resolve itself.
There is no downtime with RF Microneedling, so you can return to normal activities straight away.
When will I see results & how long will they last?
A week or two after the first session is when patients will typically notice a more tightened feel to their skin. Due to the nature of the treatment, results continue to build for a whole six months.
Whilst results can be noticed from just one treatment, a series of 3/4 may be recommended dependent on your desired final result.
